County attorney won’t be charged for “technical violation” of state law

The Nassau County Attorney Davod Hallman and two planning board members, Pat Keogh and John Stack, may have violated the state Sunshine Law when they discussed public business in private, but charges will not be filed.

Florida newspaper files lawsuit against Mayor Alvin Brown’s office for failing to release public records

The Florida Times-Union has filed a lawsuit against Jacksonville seeking "declaratory relief" from the Circuit Court in obtaining public records from local government officials.

FSCJ will correct Sunshine Law violations that have occurred for over a decade

Florida State College at Jacksonville’s board kept no minutes of workshops for more than a decade, a violation of state Sunshine law college leaders say they will now correct.

The school claimed audio recordings and handouts from meetings served the purpose but now concedes that written minutes should be produced.
