City asks for TMTA open meetings probe

Interim city manager Dan Stanley sent Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor a letter Wednesday asking him to investigate whether the board of directors for the Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority recently violated the Kansas Open Meetings Act.

End of review into Brownback’s meetings delayed

A district attorney’s investigation into private meetings between Republican legislators and GOP Gov. Sam Brownback won’t be finished until the end of the month because members of the governor’s staff and a few lawmakers still must be interviewed, a spokesman for the prosecutor said Tuesday.
