Globe’s request for FBI records regarding probe was filed in ’12

From The Joplin Globe: JOPLIN, Mo. — The Joplin Globe filed an open records request more than a year ago to try to determine whether a Joplin City Council member or any other public officials were involved in a five-year gambling and public corruption probe conducted by the FBI.

The Globe also sought the FBI documents under the Freedom of Information Act to determine whether the probe shed any light on the disappearance of $63,000 from the Jasper County Drug Task Force and files missing from the Joplin Police Department regarding that case.

A judge has issued an order blocking a newspaper’s request for documents about the resignation of the police chief in southeast Missouri.

Perryville Police Chief Keith Tarrillion submitted his resignation last week amid allegations that he falsified a police report in a personal insurance claim two years ago.

Missouri to comply with open records request for Edward Jones Dome upgrade

Attorney General Chris Koster says he will give documents regarding proposals made on upgrading the Edward Jones Dome to requesting parties.

Koster says he sent a letter Monday notifying representatives of the St. Louis Rams and the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Bureau that the state will comply with the open records request.
