Missouri: Animal rights group sues MU, alleging repeated Sunshine Law violations

An animal rights group on Monday sued the University of Missouri, alleging it violated the state’s Sunshine Law more than 200 times and charged an excessive fee of $82,222.33 for records the group requested about animals being tested for research at the School of Medicine.

Group cries foul over UW request to block public records access

From The Cap Times:  Animal research at the UW-Madison has long been a touchy subject — and one that some university officials certainly wish would disappear altogether.

Now, activists are claiming the school is looking to limit access to public records as a way to cover up campus research using animals.
