Notre Dame argues private-school police aren’t subject to Indiana FOI law

The University of Notre Dame relied heavily on its argument of legislative acquiescence and again maintained its campus police department is not a public agency in its legal fight with ESPN before the Indiana Court of Appeals.

The sports network believes records the university’s Security Police Department generates regarding arrests and criminal incident reports should be subject to Indiana’s Access to Public Records Act. Continue…
