Kentucky coalition to host free webinar, outlining changes to state’s Open Records Act

The Kentucky Open Government Coalition will offer a free webinar — “Open Records 2021: What Do I Need to Know?” — at 10 a.m. (Eastern time) on Monday, June 21, 2021.

Coalition co-director Jeremy Rogers, an open records practitioner with two decades of experience and a partner at Dinsmore and Shohl LLP, Louisville, will be the host. The 30-minute, live webinar will equip you with the knowledge you need to successfully use the open records law as amended in the 2021 legislative session.

The Kentucky Open Government Coalition was established to serve citizens who want to protect the public’s right to know, so there is no requirement for webinar participants to have any level of expertise in open government laws. Our mission is to strengthen open government advocacy in our state by growing the number of Kentucky residents who understand the open records and open meetings laws and who appreciate the need for them.

Anyone who wants to join the webinar should preregister by filling out the form available online. We will email you closer to the date of the webinar with the link. We will use Webex for the session. Please note: Webex can be downloaded to your device from this page: https://www.webex.com/downloads.html

Attorneys seeking CLE credit will be able to state their preference on the registration form.
