Freedom of Information Oklahoma to present gubernatorial debate, annual awards Saturday at UCO

EDMOND — Eight candidates for Oklahoma governor will debate the First Amendment and government transparency at the Freedom of Information Oklahoma Gubernatorial Debate from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma.

The FOI-O annual awards will be presented during a break that evening.

The debate will be in Constitution Hall of the Nigh University Center. Dick Pryor, general manager of KGOU radio, and Alex Cameron, of KWTV, will moderate. Both are members of the FOI-O board.

Confirmed participants are Democrat Drew Edmondson; Republicans Christopher Barnett, Dan Fisher, Gary Jones and Blake “Cowboy” Stephens; and Libertarians Joe Exotic, Rex Lawhorn and Chris Powell. All candidates were invited to attend the debate. Read more…
