Promoting Sunshine Week 2013, March 10-16

From Inland Press Association:

Organizations promoting Sunshine Week, including the Inland Press Association, are this year emphasizing the theme that open government is a vital interest of every American, not just the media.

“Of course open government is important to journalists. But even more, open government is really at the heart of democracy by giving citizens the information we all need," said Susan Goldberg, the executive editor of Bloomberg News in Washington who is the American Society of News Editor’s current president.
