South Dakota open government receives boost

As many as eight open government bills will be introduced by Gov. Dennis Daugaard and Attorney General Marty Jackley this month.
 
The bills, doing everything from making criminal mugshots public to closing potential loopholes, were recommended by a 33-member open government task force convened by Daugaard and Jackley earlier this year.

Eight bills were proposed by the task force, and all eight could get backing from the governor and attorney general in the upcoming session of the South Dakota Legislature.
