Londonderry Township has drawn the state Office of Open Records into its legal battle with a persistent Susquehanna River islander.
In a petition filed with Dauphin County Court, township officials are seeking to overturn multiple OOR rulings requiring them to hand over information Glenn Harmon requested under Pennsylvania's Right to Know Law.
Londonderry leaders claim Harmon, who owns a cabin on Shelly Island, is trying to bury and bankrupt the township with a flood of such requests.
Harmon has said his aim is merely to acquire public information about a municipal government he described as a "sewer."
Township officials earlier filed a lawsuit, seeking a county court order to stop the flow of Harmon's RTKL requests. That case is pending. Read more...
