The public can now obtain district court records pertaining to sex crimes after "years" of the information being filed under seal.
Until this month, all court information about rape, molestation and other sex crimes was kept from public view. Unless people attended court dates after hearing about them by word of mouth, they could not learn the status of an accused offender's charges or when they would be in court next.
