The release of additional emails sent or received by former superintendent Nancy Sebring should remain available to the public under Iowa's open records law, according to papers filed today on behalf of the Des Moines school district.Sebring on Wednesday requested an injunction that would stop the school district from releasing additional personal emails sent and received on the district’s public account.
The Des Moines Register's editorial wrote that:
It would be wrong for the court to block release of additional emails, even ones that may prove embarrassing to Sebring.
