Atlantic City Alliance keeps private how it gets publicity for city

The polishing of Atlantic City’s public image will be done by an organization that functions in private.


Created last February by state legislation, the alliance … is taking over the duties of a public agency, the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority, which has served as the city’s chief marketing arm. The authority is being folded into another government agency, the state Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, as part of Gov. Chris Christie’s newly formed Tourism District in Atlantic City.
