Compiled by the Virginia State Bar. 9th ed. Richmond, VA: Virginia State Bar, 1993, 65 pages
The handbook includes sections on the court system of Virginia, the federal court system, pretrial and trial procedures and free press-fair trial issues. It also includes sections on Virginia's Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Protection Act of 1976. There are sections on libel and slander, ethics and discipline, and legal services available in Virginia, such as legal aid, prepaid or group legal services and lawyer-referral services. The volume concludes with a glossary of legal terms.
