2009 FOI Summit

Print this page

The National Freedom of Information Coalition is pleased to announce that next year's 2009 FOI Summit will be held in Minneapolis and hosted by our friends at the Minnesota Coalition on Government Information.

While countless details yet are to be worked out, we can say with some level of certainty that the conference and annual members meeting will take place sometime in late May or early June of 2009.

"We couldn't be happier that MnCOGI will be hosting next year's summit," said Charles N. Davis, executive director of NFOIC. "The history of MnCOGI goes back more than 20 years—prior to NFOIC's establishment, actually—and this will be a great opportunity to continue to garner support and generate ideas for the future of FOI and all NFOIC coalitions." (Read more about MnCOGI's mission and history here.)

"We're very excited about the opportunity to work with all the good folks at MnCOGI," Davis continued. "Already, we are extremely grateful for the hard work, determination and persistence provided by Mary Treacy, executive director of MnCOGI."

As we work out the details, more and specific information will be available on MnCOGI's blog and this very page, so bookmark the sites and visit us often!
